The LOCALITY Algae project consortium has met again! The 2 day meeting was locally organised by our project partner AgriFood Lithuania in the beautiful city of Vilnius.
It has been intense days were partners presented the latest developments, work in progress and results, as well as the planning of the upcoming tasks in our work packages.
Most important developements here in a short summary:

Schematic illustrations of the water supply from fish farm, the waste water streams from textile industries and the monitoring strategy for photobioreactors
⚗ Ingredient Production & Characterisation –
Current work on enzymatic processes to pre-treat and generate bioactive fractions from brown seaweed and diatoms
🍔 Algae-based Food Products –
Design and assessment of food formulations for meat-, fish- and egg-analogue, as well as nutraceutical product developement
🐟 Algae-based Aquafeed Functional – Additives
Screening, validation and future productions of additives in functional fish feed
🌿Algae-based Agricultural Products –
Introduction of plant biostimulants in brown algae and their biocontrol
👕 Algae-based Textile Additives –
Development of algae-based additives for the textile industry for ressource effective dyes
🗣 Consumer Acceptance –
Introduction and planning of the methodology for the Pan-European consumer acceptance survey
💶 Market Acceptance –
Set-up of the market acceptance and exploitation strategy based on results of the consumer acceptance studies, a desk research, and interviews with partners and stakeholders
